God’s Word to Us

What a blessing that the Lord would supply us not only with life and the things pertaining to life; food, water, air to breathe, and the beauty of creation all around us; but also His word which are not only His instructions, but also His warnings and promises, both conditional and unconditional promises.

The Flutterbys blog is mainly for musings, home and garden updates, and also to look at controversial topics, to examine things that are happening in the world by trying to make sense of it through the lense of God’s word. I hope you’ll join me there and perhaps share your thoughts on the timing of the rapture and the coming of the Lord. The link to my Flutterbys blog is located on the sidebar ——>

Let’s use scripture to explain scripture and not base it on traditions and feelings and excited utterings. I do not deny prophesying, but let’s not put the cart before the horse by basing scriptures on prophecies (eisegesis), instead of examining prophecies on the plain reading of scripture  (exegesis).

Hope to see you there ❤️

  1. Dear Susan,
Although I believe in a pre-Trib Rapture, what I have learned over the years is to trust God in all things, and to be thankful for all things. God bless.

    1. I agree that trusting Jesus is THE topmost important thing, and my dear hubby says if pretribbers (the truly born again ones) find themselves here when the antichrist starts chipping people the Lord will make sure they know and don’t fall for it.

  3. Hi Susan,
We cannot lose our salvation once we are truly born again, even if we sin, and in fact all sin daily, in thought if not in word or deed. If the church were not taken out by the Rapture before the Tribulation, no doubt some or even many genuinely saved believers would sin by taking the mark of the beast, thinking they had no choice in order to survive. The doctrine of eternal security tells us that these believers could not lose their salvation, yet Revelation tells us that those who take the M.O.B. are condemned. The only way around this seeming inconsistency is if the Church is raptured before the Tribulation. Thanks for your thought-provoking blog, and God bless.

  4. Hi Laurie, I agree that we who are born of the Spirit absolutely cannot be "unborn" or be unsaved. I disagree that his true born of the Spirit would succumb to the M.O.B. anymore than the early church Christians would have bowed and worshiped Nero. The Lord supplies our strength at the time we need it most. I am getting ready to post another installment in the rapture series on the Fluyterby blog. Thank you so much for thinking and praying about these important things...I believe we are getting very near to the time that the things spoken of in Matthew chapter 24 by Jesus are soon to be fully coming to fruition. We need to be very strong in the Lord knowing we need nothing of this world, this world is soon passing away.
